(90-92) Another outstanding looking wine from the Moueix team, the 2018 Château La Grave has plenty of earthy black cherry and cassis as well as minerality and graphite on the nose. Deeply colored, medium to full-bodied, and with fine tannins, it’s a solid, well-built Pomerol that’s going to benefit from a year or two in the cellar. The blend is 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc that’s from more gravelly and fine clay soils.
