A very stylish wine, with the ripe tannins showing a distinctly firm edge from the wine's small component of cabernet franc. "Vintage 2000 is opulent and powerful, the most American of our recent vintages," says Franc, "while 2001 is more intellectual, more Bordelais, more a wine of finesse."
