There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. The 2020 Les Clauzots is a powerful, burly Graves. Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot drive this blend, and that comes through in the wine's intensely savory profile and structural feel. The 2020 is an attractive wine, but readers should expect power and savory intensity. Dried herbs, graphite smoke, grilled herbs iron and mocha linger on the incisive finish. This is a bit rustic, but very good.

Winery Notes

The Château les Clauzots red is a wine that truly represents the Graves terroir. It is traditionally vinified in stainless steel vats, with a cold pre-fermentation maceration and a slow alcoholic fermentation. The wine is then aged for 18 months with wood contact on fine lees. This wine shows a vibrant intensity and freshness of fruits, enhanced by the careful aging which reveals elegant and fine wooden notes. The Cabernet Sauvignon, which is the dominant grape variety, brings freshness to the wine and also guarantees great tannic structure and excellent aging potential.
