Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. You feel the warmth of the summer in the texture and the character of the fruit here, but it has been extremely well handled, and there's a sense of lift alongside the Magrez signature glamour. Plush damson fruits demonstrate its ambition and sense of forward motion, with a flourish of oak edging. This takes its time and is chewy on the finish. Harvested 24 September to 11 October. The 2018 Les Grands Chênes is wonderfully expressive. Super-ripe black cherry, dried herb, plum, chocolate and leather give this potent Médoc from Bernard Magrez tons of complexity. I would give the 2018 a year or two in bottle, as the tannins are a bit imposing. This is a pushed style, with a strong oak imprint, but there is also more than enough depth to allow for many years of fine drinking. The blend is 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Readers looking for a delicious, ready-to-go Médoc with classic aromas and flavors as well as medium to full-bodied richness should snatch up bottles of the 2018 Château Les Grands Chênes. Loaded with plenty of darker currant fruits, notes of cedary herbs, and tobacco, ripe, almost sweet tannins, and outstanding length, it's going to drink nicely for at least 10-12 years.
