Notes of dark berries, spices, licorice and gentian preface the 2022 Moncets, a medium to full-bodied, dense and concentrated wine with a fleshy core of fruit, velvety tannins and a beautifully enrobing mid-palate that leads to a long, delicate finish. This blend of 89% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Malbec is a real classic and should evolve gracefully over the next 8 to 10 years.
The 2022 Moncets is a bold, racy Lalande-de-Pomerol. Inky dark fruit, espresso, mocha, licorice, lavender and new leather fill out the layers. Plush, succulent contours wrap it all together in style. Give this a few months in bottle.
Light herbal character with aromas of damson, dark plums, strawberries and minty herbs. Generous palate, rich and well textured. (Silver) - DWWA 2025
