The 2022 Clos Cantenac retains the Burgundian allure I noted from the barrel, with added lushness of red berry, redcurrant and raspberry aromas, though its touch of incense is less noticeable in terms of the gravelly component. The medium-bodied palate offers the fluidity that made it a joy to taste from the barrel, with gentle grip and a touch of edginess towards the finish. This seamless Saint-Émilion is indeed tempting in its youth.
