Orange blossoms, honeycomb, ming flowers, and caramelized peach are just some of the nuances in the 2022 Clos Haut-Peyraguey, a ripe, round, full-bodied Sauternes that's balanced, has the vintage's richer, opulent style, and a great finish. It’s beautifully done, and while I love it today, it will clearly evolve gracefully over the coming two decades.

Excellent harmony here from this Sauternes, showing nice touches of beeswax, white mushrooms and spices from the botrytis to the sweet lemons, dried pineapple and golden berries. Lightly waxy and unctuous, with fresh, medium acidity and enough substance to balance the sweetness. Medium-to full-bodied with a long finish. Drink or hold.
