The Rhone Valley of southern France is a particularly fascinating wine region, with a history that stretches back to at least six hundred BCE, when the ancient Greeks first began cultivating vines there. Chewy and tightly focused on the palate, offering deeply concentrated yet lithe black raspberry, cherry, boysenberry, violet pastille and spicecake flavors that show outstanding clarity and mineral thrust. Finishes taut, sappy and extremely long, with building tannins lending shape and grip to the lingering dark berry and floral notes.

Medium-bodied, vibrant, and lifted, with fine tannins as well as integrated acidity, it's going to benefit from just a few years of bottle age and drink well over the following 15+.
