Golden color. A wonderfully complex and fully mature nose features ripe aromas that offer up plenty of toast and yeast characters along with exotic aromas of lychee nut, citrus and mango. There is both outstanding richness and volume to the concentrated medium-bodied flavors that retain a lovely sense of energy as the supporting mousse remains firm as it shapes the strikingly long and highly layered finish that possess a positively gorgeous mouth feel. As I noted, this is fully mature yet unlike many well-aged examples this retains a highly appealing vibrancy and the ’83 P3 should continue to drink well over the next decade.
