Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

Fullish colour. The nose is rather more hidden than his Clos de Bèze. But there is a lot of quality and depth here. On the palate fullish body. Splendidly concentrated fruit. Rich and fat and complex and high class. Very, very lovely.

This beauty is just beginning to display hints of secondary development on the spicy dark berry fruit aromas that are laced with hints of spice, earth and game. There is excellent freshness and vibrancy to the pure, round, rich and focused full-bodied flavors that flash obvious muscle and minerality on the deep, powerful and hugely long finish. The '06 Chambertin is still firm though not so firm that it couldn't be enjoyed now though with that said, I would be inclined to continue to hold for another 5 or so years. In a word, wonderful. Tasted several times over the years with consistent notes save for one bottle that seemed excessively green.

93-94 The Rousseau 2006 Chambertin offers a gorgeous bouquet of roses, fresh cherry, nutmeg, and anise. Not at all weighty, it however offers caressing refinement of texture and luscious fluidity of well-concentrated red fruits and liquid floral perfume. Subtly smoky, meaty undertones gain prominence as the wine takes on air, and ineffable mineral notes emerge, too, as this finishes with lift, refinement, intricate interactive complexity, and lip-smacking generosity, yet not without an aura of mystery appropriate to this great site. No doubt the results will be worth following for a dozen or more years.

Good deep red. Wonderfully pure, complex nose offers black cherry, minerals, red licorice and flowers, with an almost liqueur-like sweetness. Less expressive in the mouth but silky and suave in texture and considerably sweeter than the Clos de Beze, with compelling density and intensity of flavor. The almost liqueur-like red fruit quality carries through on the palate. The wine's sappiness gives it a weightless quality. The longest of these 2006s by far, finishing with superb grip and energy.

Chambertin is the wine of Kings. He is masculine, powerful and well built. Vigorous and firm, well structured and very dense. With great persistence in the mouth. Aromas of chocolate, licorice and red berries.
