Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

Rich, powerful red fruit and cherry nose, showing aromatic force and not overly dense. Rich and full-bodied, quite powerful without being overbearing, with firm tannins beneath the broad fruit. Structured, spicy, exuberant, and very long.

The 2015 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru has a clean, very pure bouquet, bright red cherries commingling with freshly picked strawberries, laced with candied orange peel and just a dab of liquorice. It gains in intensity with aeration. The palate is lively and fresh on the entry, vivacious in style, impressive delineation (à la '16) with tangible mineralité flooding through towards the finish. Again, Rousseau's signature tenderness defines that finish as it lingers in the mouth. Wonderful.

92-94 A discreet lashing of wood easily allows the equally sauvage-suffused nose to display its array of various dark berries, earth, floral and soft underbrush scents. The energetic and beautifully well-detailed medium weight flavors exude a subtle minerality on the muscular finish that exhibits focused power and excellent persistence. This is one of those relatively rare wines that will age effortlessly for years yet should be enjoyable the entire way.

The 2015 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru is excellent, opening in the glass with a complex bouquet of red and black cherry, plum preserve, grilled meat, dried ceps and espresso roast, framed by a judicious application of cedary oak (20% new). On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and firmly framed, with unusual depth and concentration for this cuvée, its ample chassis of tannins asserting itself on the firm finish.
Winery Notes
It is a minerally, complex, and powerful wine, with an abundance of red berry fruit aromas with a hint of thyme and mint. In the mouth, the wine shows true elegance, with spicy, smooth tannins and a hint of tobacco. A long finish with a great consistency and a certain firmness rounds out this incredible wine.
