Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

The 2016 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières is the most distinctive wine in the range, unfurling in the glass with notes of lemon oil, crushed chalk, tart green apple, dried white flowers and struck flint. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, elegantly satiny and searingly intense, with tangy acids, huge concentration and the pronouncedly mineral, stony signature that always seems to mark out this bottling. Along with Genevrières, Coche’s parcel in Perrières was largely spared by the 2016 frosts. Given its utterly classic profile, a dozen years’ patience is advised.
Of all the white wine grape varietals, surely the one that has spread the furthest and is most widely appreciated is Chardonnay. This green-skinned grape is now grown all over the Old and New Worlds, from New Zealand to the Americas, from England to Chile, and is one of the first varietals people think of when considering white wine grapes. Penetrating scents of crushed stone and lemon; classic Perrières! Smooth and very dense on the palate, with its flavors of crushed rock, lemon, lime, underripe pineapple, flowers and saline minerality showing great inner-mouth tension. This, too, boasts terrific dry extract. Finishes with extraordinary sappiness and rising length, like an electric shock to the palate. This wonderfully juicy, digestible wine spreads out horizontally to excite the taste buds.

There is plenty of floral influence to the airy but impressively dense aromas of various white orchard fruit, citrus, oyster shell and smoky mineral reduction-suffused nose. The medium weight plus flavors are not only almost painfully intense but overtly powerful with outstanding minerality that really surfaces on the driving, superbly complex and impeccably well-balanced finale. This is terrific and still quite young even if it's not so backward that it couldn't be enjoyed now though with that said, it seems fairly clear that another 5ish or so years should prove beneficial. In a word, superb.
