The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Blanchots Dessous 1er Cru has a very refined and complex bouquet that ably articulates the terroir. Lemon verbena, orange blossom and wet limestone that gain vigour in the glass. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity, taut and fresh, with fine depth, though it just misses a little race and tension towards the finish. Fine overall, though. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
