92-94 The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos de l’Arlot 1er Cru has a really entrancing bouquet this year: pure red berry fruit, rose petal and light melted tar scents unfurling from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with the stem addition noticeable on the entry, but simpatico with the fruit, hints of truffle and morels towards the finish. Good potential here – clever winemaking.

Medium to full-bodied, firm and structured, with a deep core of fruit and lively acids, it will demand patience.

89-91 Here too the nose is sufficiently reduced that it's difficult to discern much other than the underlying fruit is ripe. More interesting are the fresh and energetic medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with dry extract while the moderately firm and youthfully austere finish flashes a hint of bitter chocolate.

It starts off with a radiant, complex bouquet with a combination of notes of raspberries, red currants, cherries and strawberries with floral nuances. The dialogue continues in the mouth with the discovery of a red wine with a delicate, elegant structure and good underlying concentration. This is a well-balanced wine with supple tannins which wins one over with its never-ending length, which emphasizes the red fruit flavours.
