The 2018 Chambertin Grand Cru was picked on September 7 and made with 50% whole bunch and 40% new oak. It has a very pure, generous bouquet with layers of red cherries, crushed strawberry and cranberry fruit and well-integrated oak. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. Very lithe and fresh, leading to a delineated finish that ranks alongside many others I have tasted. This is a superb Chambertin that will age with style. (94-96)
