Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

The 2012 Echézeaux Grand Cru from Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair has a slightly disjointed nose at first, but it melds together nicely in the glass, revealing pure blackberry and raspberry fruit, heather and fresh mint notes with aeration. There is focus and intensity here that builds before you. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, very well-judged acidity, cohesive and voluminous with a very precise finish that indicates some very clever, judicious winemaking. This is an Echézeaux from the top drawer, confirming previous bottles that have excelled.

The 2012 Echézeaux Grand Cru courtesy of Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair has a wonderful nose with vibrant red fruit, tomato vine and hints of lavender. This is understated for Louis-Michel’s wines, but that plays to its advantage. The palate displays exquisite balance, building in intensity with aeration, pristine and chiselled to the finest detail on the finish. This is an outstanding wine at a decade old.

Interestingly this is the spiciest wine in the range outside of the La Romanée that combines with a really lovely panoply of red and blue fruit and floral scents. There is excellent volume and mid-palate concentration to the fleshy and generous medium-bodied flavors that possess controlled power on the beautifully complex, balanced and long finish that is a bit less austere than that of the Reignots. This is also excellent and should drink well both young and fully mature.
