Long-term Pre-arrival Items

Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.

Long Term Pre-arrival  sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.

Case Only Items

This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.

Domaine Peirazeau is situated in Morey-St-Denis and covers an area of 3.65 ha, with vineyards in some of the most prestigious appellations. Laurent Peirazeau works the vines and practices sustainable viticulture, using organic products or biocontrol where possible. Ploughing is limited, weeding is rare and the harvest is completely destemmed, to avoid excess tannin. In the cellar, indigenous yeasts do their job, and do it well. The red wines, except the Coteaux Bourguignons and Burgundy Pinot Noir are aged in oak barrels.

The vineyards were originally established by Jules Groffier (1898-1974) and were part of the Groffier family estate. The vineyards were later divided among Jules’ children, Robert and Bernadette Groffier. Robert, who was already working on the family estate, began bottling his own wine under the name Domaine Robert Groffier Père & Fils.

Bernadette married Mr. Peirazeau, which led to the creation of Domaine Bernadette Peirazeau-Groffier. While most of the grapes were sold to prestigious négociants, a small portion was also sold directly under the label Bernadette Peirazeau-Groffier. Their son Gerard gradually took over the family business and followed a similar strategy. He sold the majority of the grapes to négociants and a smaller portion directly to private customers under the name Gerard Peirazeau & Fils.
