Dense, with black cherry and blackberry flavors accented by spice hints, imparting a chalky, minerally sensation. This is firm now, but the finish extends with a mix of fruit, spice and stone notes. Best from 2017 through 2028. 28 cases imported.

An earthy and reticent nose of liqueur of both red and dark pinot fruit aromas combine with violet, plum and plenty of pungent earth and humus notes. There is excellent size, weight and punch to the relatively large-scaled flavors that display fine richness and detail on the moderately austere, balanced and impressively persistent finish. Moderately saturated bright, full red. Pure, complex nose offers scents of black cherry, redcurrant, crushed stone, menthol, mint and spices, along with a pronounced floral quality. An attractive soil-driven midweight, showing more savory spices than primary fruit in the mouth today and a thickness that comes from the clay-based soil. Finishes with a salty element and building tannins that dust the entire palate. Less sweet than the last few wines, and in need of further elevage. Gublin noted that this grand cru probably will not be bottled until June.

Classical ruby red. Subtle with delicate spicy and fruity (vanilla, cherry) and slightly mentholated notes. The palate is delicious and smooth. Tasty fruity texture evolving into spicy and menthol notes. Fine, fresh and subtle tannins.
