89-91 The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet Village wafts from the glass with aromas of pear, orange oil, dried white flowers and nutmeg. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and incisive, with a generous core of fruit and chalky structuring extract, it’s very nicely balanced.

Of all the white wine grape varietals, surely the one that has spread the furthest and is most widely appreciated is Chardonnay.
