The 2020 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru offers very pure red berries, undergrowth and rose petal scents on the nose, fresh and ethereal in style. This is very… persuasive. The palate is beautifully-defined, the 80% whole bunch impacting freshness and salinity, filigree tannins with an abundance of tension on the finish. Class from start to finish.

Deep and complete, the 2020 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru unwinds in the glass with aromas of dark berries, spices, loamy soil, peonies and plums. Full-bodied, layered and velvety, it's seamless and concentrated, with ripe, powdery tannins and lively balancing acids. It's another magical rendition of this cuvée from Trapet.

A more restrained nose grudgingly offers up its aromas of various dark berries, violet, lavender and exotic tea. There is excellent volume to the seductive and gorgeously textured medium weight plus flavors that exhibit plenty of punch on the austere, serious and built-to-age finish.
