The 2024 Pinot Noir is the producer’s first Mendocino County appellation wine, intended for wider distribution and offered at an unbelievably fair price. Stock up and then stock up again. It totally overdelivers, made from grapes grown on the estate as well as single-vineyard designates Clow Ridge and Valenti in Anderson Valley and Mendocino Ridge. Ripe and round, it never tastes overripe, instead layering dark red fruit and cardamom spiciness and other spice box components over a medium-bodied core of freshness and firm tannins. Drink now through 2030.

Winery Notes

Pinot Noir from Drew’s Faite de Mer Estate (38%), Clow Ridge (32%), Valenti Ranch (20%), and Fashauer Vineyard (10%), showcasing the region’s distinctive coastal terroir. All sites are farmed organically on a range of soils, primarily composed of sedimentary marine uplift, including weathered sandstone and shale. The wine was fermented with 40% whole clusters and aged for ten months in neutral French oak, showing fresh red-fruit aromatics with a savory alpine streak on the palate.
