El Enemigo Bonarda 2022 750ml

Bonarda is a red grape variety with origins in northern Italy, where it is known as Bonarda Piemontese, and in Argentina, where it is called Bonarda. In Italy, Bonarda Piemontese produces light-bodied red wines with flavors of red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, along with floral and herbal notes. In Argentina, Bonarda is more deeply colored and produces wines that are medium to full-bodied, with intense fruit flavors, moderate acidity, and soft tannins. What makes Bonarda unique is its adaptability to different climates and winemaking styles, showcasing a range of expressions from light, easy-drinking wines to more complex and structured examples. Bonarda wines are versatile and pair well with a variety of foods, including grilled meats, pasta dishes, and aged cheeses. The grape's historical significance in both Italy and Argentina reflects its resilience and ability to thrive in diverse terroirs, offering wine enthusiasts a taste of Old World tradition and New World innovation.
