90-93 The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champ Canet was one of the lowest-yielding cuvées chez Sauzet this year, and it’s a ripe, powerful wine. Mingling notes of honeycomb, orange oil and pear with hints of fresh bread, white flowers and crushed chalk, it’s medium to full-bodied, rich and textural, with a deep core of fruit and succulent acids. It will be interesting to revisit it in bottle.
