Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

There’s more fruit in the 2018 Aluvional Los Chacayes than in the 2017, as if the cooler year delivered more red fruit and something juicy, but again with no sweetness at all. There is elegance and balance, a less extracted expression of Chacayes. The palate is very stony, despite the extra juiciness (and slightly higher alcohol) than the 2017, but everything is very integrated. In the cooler year, the ripeness was slower, and the wine has more ripeness and a better development of aromas and flavors but with great freshness. Great balance. 4,000 bottles were filled in August 2019.
The purple Malbec variety grapes which now grow all over the Old and New Worlds had their origins in France, where they are one of the few grape varieties allowed to be used in the highly esteemed blended wines of Bordeaux. Zuccardi's 2018 Malbec Aluvional (Los Chacayes) was 20% aged in French oak for 12 months. A striking purple in hue. The nose begins with country herbs before offering fresh plum with hints of violet and a touch of liqueur. The initially free-flowing palate grows tighter as it goes on, tapering into a linear structure defined by the firm, finely grained tannins before the lengthy finish.
Winery Notes
Deep red color. Expresses a red and black fruit character with notes of blackberry, cherry, plum complemented by fresh herbal and violet notes. Juicy, with a lively acidity, mineral texture and elegant tannins. It has a long finish.
