95-97 Tasted as a preview, the 2023 L’Alberello is exceptional, boasting a deep red hue and a pure, focused profile of graphite, dark stone, black cherry, fresh fig, and refined spice. From the first vines of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc planted to Alberello training in Bolgheri, the wine is full-bodied, and combines salinity, freshness, and precision, with beautifully integrated tannins and a long, balanced finish. It’s already approachable but clearly built for the long haul. Drink 2027-2047.
