A notably floral-inflected nose somewhat grudgingly reveals a layered array of spice, wood, earth and various red berry fruit scents. There is good volume if not quite the same mid-palate concentration as that of the Clos des Santenots, all wrapped in a sleek, vibrant, focused and moderately structured finish. This is a classic Bressandes that should flesh more out with time in bottle. (Burghound)

Full, dark red. Aromas of wild dark berries, smoke and game are mellowed by burnished coffee and chocolatey oak tones. Surprisingly sweet and rich on entry, then firms up in the middle palate, showing a solid spine of minerals and tannins. Firm and linear on the persistent finish.

Intense dark ruby red. Very tempting, precise, fresh red berries (cherry, cherry-stone), evolving into slightly toasted notes on the nose. The palate is tender, flavorful, fruity and fleshy (fresh cherry). Fine and digestible tannins on the finish.
