Though intensely flavored with black currant, blackberry, licorice, violet, mineral and spices, this red has a laser beam of acidity defining it and driving the long finish. Shows civilized, well-integrated tannins, with fine depth and detail overall. Best from 2026 through 2045. 20 cases imported.

A deft dollop of wood can be found on the spicier and more floral inflected nose of cassis, black pinot fruit and a suggestion of exotic tea. The relatively supple medium weight flavors possess only slightly better mid-palate density though the longer finish is noticeably more tightly wound. This should be excellent in time.

Classical ruby red. Subtle with delicate spicy and fruity (vanilla, cherry) and slightly mentholated notes. The palate is delicious and smooth. Tasty fruity texture evolving into spicy and menthol notes. Fine, fresh and subtle tannins.
