Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

This is the wine we had all been waiting to be bottled. The 2010 Les Vignes de Mon Père, a Savagnin from schiste carton marl soils in the lieu-dit of Les Champs Bernards, was finally put into bottle the 30th of October 2024, after almost 14 years in topped-up 600-liter barrels with no added sulfur dioxide. The wine reveals a slightly darker shade of gold and a subtle and calmed-down nose, slowly unfurling more complex aromas of caramelized yellow fruit, and it’s dense and complex. It was produced from the Savagnin Vert biotype of the grape that delivers a more austere nose than the Savagnin Jaune, the yellow variety, and it also delivers lower yields. It has incredible energy and light, and it’s very long, tasty and salty, very umami-tasting. 1,000 bottles produced.
Savagnin is a rare, ancient white grape variety primarily cultivated in France’s Jura region, where it is best known for producing Vin Jaune (Yellow Wine). It is genetically linked to Traminer, making it a close relative of Gewürztraminer, though it expresses itself quite differently. Thriving in Jura’s cool climate and limestone-rich soils, Savagnin develops high acidity and a strong mineral backbone, making it well-suited for both oxidative and non-oxidative winemaking.
What makes Savagnin truly unique is its role in Vin Jaune, an iconic wine aged for at least six years and three months in oak barrels under a layer of yeast (voile), similar to Sherry but without fortification. This aging method imparts intense nutty, curry spice, and dried fruit aromas, with remarkable complexity.
In fresher styles, Savagnin exhibits citrus, green apple, floral, and mineral notes. It pairs exceptionally well with Comté cheese, rich poultry dishes, and mushroom-based cuisine, offering a truly distinctive drinking experience.
