There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. Here, in the home of the world's finest wines, the type and quality of grapes used is of utmost importance, and the legendary wineries which work on the banks of the Gironde river have mastered the careful art of juice blending to find the perfect balance for their produce. No longer a second wine of Ducru Beaucaillou but a growth in its own right, this is a powerful wine, very dense and muscular. Rich berry fruits push through the firm structure to give a wine that will become opulent as it develops. Drink from 2018.

A little leaner than some vintages of La Croix, although with lovely concentration still at 10 years. It has maintained a fresh core, plenty of grip and spice. The Petit Verdot is making its presence felt and this is full of signature St-Julien character, with a twist of smoke. 60% new oak. First vintage with the Jade Jagger label, and really the time that they began to put the emphasis on this as its own separate entity.
