Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. Fresh and appealing summer berry fruit and soft floral aromatics on the nose ,cherry and raspberry. Smooth and supple, this carries its weight and energy nicely. Easy to approach with crunch and bite. Well defined, hints of spice and minerality. Gorgeous purity and ease to this, just so effortless and enjoyable. Not the longest or heaviest but really wows on the palate for its finesse. Great acidity and purity, it’s clean but still flavourful. Very impressive for a second wine. I love the ease and effortless nature, you couldn't not drink all of this. Delicious.

It is medium to deep garnet-purple in color and it jumps from the glass with notes of juicy black plums, boysenberries, and Morello cherries, with underlying suggestions of clove oil, allspice, and lavender oil. The 2021 La Gravette de Certan is 100% Merlot from the estate's younger vines. Pliant, soft and quite accessible, the 2021 is a lovely wine to drink now and over the next decade or so. Juicy red/purplish fruits, lavender, mocha and spice are front and center. The 2021 is a fine choice for readers who want to get their VCC fix without venturing into some of the estate's bigger wines.

The 2021 La Gravette De Certan is all Merlot, as all of the Cabernet Franc went into the Grand Vin. From healthy yields of 38 hectoliters per hectare and brought up in 50% new French oak, it has a vivid ruby hue to go with classic Pomerol notes of ripe black cherries, kirsch, spring flowers, and hints of damp earth. It's medium-bodied, has a pure, elegant mouthfeel, nicely integrated acidity, and outstanding length. Drink this charming, fruit-forward, wonderfully textured second wine over the coming decade.
