Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

This gives real pleasure, with luscious, ripe brambly fruits and the signature polish. The Angélus team is currently building a new cellar specifically for Carillon d’Angélus, to be completed in 2019, which in theory should see even more focus and polish in this wine. 70% new oak.
There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. Here, in the home of the world's finest wines, the type and quality of grapes used is of utmost importance, and the legendary wineries which work on the banks of the Gironde river have mastered the careful art of juice blending to find the perfect balance for their produce. Whilst there are six 'official' Bordeaux grapes, the two key varietals for almost every fine Bordeaux wine are Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and with good reason. Whilst Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are renowned for their acidity and astringency, strong fruit and spice flavors and full body, Merlot grapes are notably rounded, soft, fleshy and lighter on tannin. The combination of these two varietals, along with a small percentage of (commonly) Petit Verdot or Cabernet Franc, is the perfect balancing act – the two grape varietals cancel out each others weaker points, and accentuate all that is good about the other.

Composed of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2015 Le Carillon d'Angelus sports a medium to deep garnet-purple color and a very spicy nose of cloves, cinnamon and fenugreek over core of warm red fruits and freshly crushed blackberries plus wafts of rose hips and fragrant earth. Medium to full-bodied, very fresh and delicate in the mouth, it offers soft tannins with a savory, slightly chewy finish.

Carillon d’Angelus 2015 is a blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and has a medium garnet color. It jumps from the glass with flamboyant scents of plum preserves, stewed black cherries, and cigar box, followed by hints of crushed rocks, stewed tea, and dusty soil. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is plush and mature with loads of mineral sparks and with the mouth-coating flavors, finishing on a lingering ferrous note.
