Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

A blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Cinsault and 18% Cabernet Franc, there’s an immediate draw to this wine’s bouquet. A complex mix of fresh, snappy black cherry, cassis and plum is partnered with purple floral tones of pressed violet and carnation, all hit by licorice, clove and rooibos dust. The palate is like crushed satin, with ripe fruit flavors that are perfectly framed by fine yet supportive and structuring tannins that carry it all through to the enduring finish. It comes across more red fruited than black on the palate, with lingering notes of church incense and sweet spice on the back of the close. So lovely and layered, it’s hard to pass up now but this should mature well through 2033.

The 2017 Dry Red Wine offers fragrant, open-knit scents of crushed strawberry, maraschino cherries, orange pith and a background scent of potpourri, cohering with aeration. The palate has a well balanced, quite fleshy opening and silky-smooth red fruit. More tender than expected, with a caressing, almost Grenache-like finish. Delicious.

This side project for Chris and Andrea Mullineux is named after the ‘lion passant’ which commonly featured in heraldry, roaming around with its front right paw raised. The Mullineuxs roamed the vineyards of Stellenbosch, Wellington and Franschhoek in search of fruit for this vibrant and expressive red blend. Tobacco, tapenade and blackcurrant characters offer a hint of things to come from this young wine; this is rich and textured and will benefit greatly from time in the cellar. Drinking Window 2022 - 2032.

The 2017 Leeu Passant Dry Red Wine offers bigger and bolder Cabernet aromas on the nose, with a pleasing dark-berried expression with nostalgic rusticity. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is still tight on the palate, with a soft herbal edge of delicate green peppers and a faint minerality. It has a complex balance of minerality and fruit, with the correctness of expression, ending with bold dark fruits on the long and thoughtful finish. This is a wine that will age gracefully for years to come.
