Rich and succulent, like biting into a crunchy cherry, this red also delivers blackberry, violet, stone and earth accents. Lithe and well-delineated, firming up on the long, tightly wound finish. Though more about the minerals and structure in the end, this is balanced and full of energy. Best from 2028 through 2047.

The Corton "Clos du Roi" is of a beautiful garnet colour. It reveals aromas of cherry and liquorice. The mouth is ample, tanins are well-integrated, the wine displays delightful notes of cocoa, cherry and spices. The overall with a splendid length.
