The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.

Regularly described as being the grape varietal responsible for producing the world's most romantic wines, Pinot Noir has long been associated with elegance and a broad range of flavors The name means 'black pine' in French, and this is due to the fact that the fruit of this particular varietal is especially dark in color, and hangs in a conical shape, like that of a pine cone. Despite being grown today in almost every wine producing country, Pinot Noir is a notoriously difficult grape variety to cultivate. This is because it is especially susceptible to various forms of mold and mildew, and thrives best in steady, cooler climates. However, the quality of the fruit has ensured that wineries and vintners have persevered with the varietal, and new technologies and methods have overcome many of the problems it presents. Alongside this, the wide popularity and enthusiasm for this grape has ensured it will remain a firm favorite amongst wine drinkers for many years to come.

Fabulous aromas of dried flowers, tar and brunt lemon rind. Full-bodied, super silky and refined. Smoke, berry and citrus character too. Persistent.

Alluring peony, strawberry and wild cherry aromas offer immediate appeal, with accents of white pepper and mineral on the palate. The finish suggests deferring enjoyment for another three to five years. Shows fine harmony and length overall. Best from 2019 through 2033. 210 cases made.

The nose is slightly spicier than the Chambertin though the lavish oak treatment renders it hard to say for sure whether it's natural or wood spice. Otherwise the refined and pure medium weight flavors terminate in a long and markedly woody finish where the wood tannins presently toughen it. It's hard to predict with confidence whether this will harmonize in time or not as it's always problematic when the wood tannins are sufficiently prominent to alter the texture of the finish.

Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting in Beaune, the 2013 Romanée St Vivant les Quatre Journaux Grand Cru was showing more oak than the Follin-Arbelet Romanée St Vivant, although there is still plenty of fruit behind it. This feels more floral and at the moment bears the mark of the winemaking more. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, a gentle grip and I would be seeking a little more structure on the finish. Yet, it is undeniably well balanced and feels long in the mouth. I have been critical of Louis Latour's recent wines -- but credit where credit's due. Tasted September 2016.
Winery Notes
Our Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru "Les Quatre Journaux" 2013 has a deep ruby colour. Its nose offers aromas of mocha, blackcurrant and grilled almond. Its mouth, ample and fresh, reveals notes of almond, blackcurrant and sap. Nice persistence.
Extremely fine, youthful nose with a totally fascinating floral beauty. Incredibly silky, this great Burgundy masterpiece shines with breathtaking finesse,…
