89-92 A ripe and peppery nose combines notes of plum, dark currant and earth. The rich, succulent and delicious middleweight flavors possess good depth and persistence on the balanced and only mildly rustic finish. This solidly powerful effort should both age well and be reasonably approachable after only 4 to 5 years.
