Impressive every year since its inception in 2016, the 2019 Cornas Temenos continues that run of success. Crushed stone, pencil shavings, blueberries and licorice appear on the complex nose, while the full-bodied palate delivers dense, concentrated dark fruit flavors and a mouthfeel that’s richly tannic but ripe, finishing velvety and long. This vintage, it’s mainly from the lieu-dit Saint-Pierre, which is located at the top of the appellation, but this includes bits of Champelrose and Mazard.
