Opaque ruby. The expansive nose highlights smoky, mineral-accented cherry, blackberry, licorice and succulent herb qualities. Plush and broad on the palate, offering appealingly sweet dark fruit, floral pastille, candied lavender flavors and a touch of black pepper. Round, even tannins come in late on a long, spicy finish that leaves a hint of bitter chocolate behind.
