Our distinctive 23-year-old expression begins with freshly distilled sugarcane molasses placed in American oak bourbon whiskey barrels initially used for 3 years before a 20-year finish in Canadian and Tennessee rye whiskey barrels that have been roasted, not charred. The interaction between these barrels maintains the desired balance between the intrinsic qualities of rum and the characteristics introduced by oak.

This rum opens with aromas of vanilla, tannins and sugar roasted in Irish butter that melt with coconut, banana and cherry and almond dough. In the mouth it presents a delicate caramel butter, before a bright heat that leads to a rich wood, a little more cherry-almond, then crushed cocoa seeds. The delicious dessert notes fade into wood at the end.
