Served blind at the Southwold 2009 tasting. The Pavillon de Léoville Poyferré shows a lot of extraction on the nose with dark cherries, plum, soy and cedar - more ostentatious in this group. The palate is medium-bodied and a little oaky on the entry, although there is sufficient fruit to support it. Unresolved and primal towards the finish though it shows fine length. Tasted January 2013.
