Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

The white 2019 Branco has notes of dried herbs, pollen and white fruit, hints of fennel and aniseed, with some development. It was produced with a blend of 40% Rabigato, 35% Códega do Larinho and 25% Viosinho. It fermented 50/50 in stainless steel and French oak barrels and matured in barrel, 25% of them new. It has contained ripeness and moderate alcohol, 13.5%, coupled with very good freshness and lively acidity (pH 3.08 and 6.2 grams of total acidity), which keeps it very lively and young, still pale and bright. 13,600 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2020.

Today, the varied terroir and climate across Portugal allows a great range of wines to be made each year, from the fresh and dry Vinho Verde wines to the famous and widely drunk fortified Port wines, and many in between.

Douro
The undisputed jewel in Portugal's crown is the beautiful wine region of Douro, located along the banks of the river from where it gets its name. The region itself is renowned around the world for its range of wonderfully aromatic fortified wines, as well as a wide variety of still red and white wines made from native grape varietals. Wineries in the Douro region utilize a huge amount of different local grapes for their characterful wines, but generally the most popular are made from Tinta Roriz, a rich and flavorful red wine grape related to Spain's flagship Tempranillo. However, there are plenty of different red and white grape varietals used in the region, all benefiting from the excellent hot weather and mineral rich terroir which characterizes the Douro valleys.

Winery Notes
Passadouro 2019 is characterized by subtle acidity and a fruity character. The wine has a complex, slightly mineral and fresh nose with excellent expression of floral notes and white-fleshed fruit. A very elegant and balanced wine in the mouth, with fruity notes and pleasant acidity, all wrapped in notes of vanilla from aging in barrels. A long and pleasant aftertaste follows.
