91-93 The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Gruenchers includes 40% whole bunch fruit and will include 50% new oak (two barrels). It has an engaging bouquet, very open and inviting with lively red cherry, wild strawberry and blood orange aromas that feel precise and delineated. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a crisp line of acidity, a dash of white pepper sprinkled over the finish. There is just a touch of reserve on the finish that curtails the persistence, but otherwise this is a very fine Chambolle-Musigny.

91-93 Bright, dark red. Terrific crushed-rock lift to the red berry and floral aromas. Suave and fine-grained on entry, then larger-scaled on the back half, opening out and building on the finish. Tannins are dusty and broad. Very shy now but leaves behind a lovely perfume in the empty glass.

89-92 An appealingly perfumed nose is composed by notes of wood, spice, red currant and soft spice nuances. I like the density of the decidedly powerful and muscular middle weight plus flavors that possess fine volume before concluding in a dusty, saline and impressively persistent finale. This is sufficiently firmly structured that it should need most of a decade to resolve the underlying tannins.
