The nose expands to reveal aromas of red flowers, blue fruits, allspice and running fresh water. The palate takes a decidedly savory, cured meat-driven turn, offering a buoyant, medium-bodied precision with great length and ghostly tannic intensity on the finish. This takes time to unwind and evolve in the glass, never showing the same side twice, and it should make for a fascinating wine to watch over the next decade or more.
