Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

Curiously enough, the 1999 Don PX, which has 17% alcohol and 402 grams of sugar, feels lighter and less concentrated than the 2002 I tasted next to it. And the wine seems more perfumed, even with a floral touch that at times reminded me of Moscatel, and it has some sweet spices, vanilla and cinnamon. It’s tasty, showy and easy to drink, velvety and seamless, with a soft texture. 12,000 bottles and 20,000 half bottles were filled at different times, but these wines evolve at a very slow pace and there should be no difference between bottlings. The price is for a 750-milliliter bottle.
Sherry is a fortified wine produced under strict Denomination of Origin (DO) regulations in the Jerez region of southern Spain. It must be made within the Sherry Triangle, which includes Jerez de la Frontera, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, and El Puerto de Santa María. The primary grape used is Palomino for dry styles, while Pedro Ximénez (PX) and Moscatel are used for sweeter sherries.
Sherry undergoes a unique aging process, often using the solera system, a fractional blending method that ensures consistency over time. It ranges from bone dry to intensely sweet, with styles like:
Fino & Manzanilla – Crisp, delicate, and aged under flor (a protective layer of yeast).
Amontillado – Aged under flor, then exposed to oxygen, developing a nutty, richer profile.
Oloroso – Fully oxidized, dark, and full-bodied with deep caramel and spice notes.
Pedro Ximénez (PX) – Lusciously sweet with flavors of raisins, figs, and molasses.
