The 2024 Grüner Veltliner Urgestein is picked this year from the Steinberg on gneiss, the Steinriedel, which usually goes into sparkling wine and parts of Loiserberg. A perfume of fern and salty apple skin appears on the nose. The palate is smooth, with salty citrus, apple skin and a touch of fern. Wonderfully lip-smacking despite its undoubted potency and ripeness.
