Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

Very youthful, spicy black cherries and damsons, as well as a lifted, violet note. Very complete palate with healthy concentration, framed in a bountiful yet polished tannin structure. Well done! Drinkable now, but better after 2021.
The purple Malbec variety grapes which now grow all over the Old and New Worlds had their origins in France, where they are one of the few grape varieties allowed to be used in the highly esteemed blended wines of Bordeaux. However, it is perhaps the New World Malbec wines which have attracted the most attention in recent years, as they thrive in hot southern climates in ways they cannot in their native country, where the damp conditions leave them highly vulnerable to rot. There is no oak now in the 2018 Gran Terroir Malbec, but it matured in well-seasoned French oak barrels for 12 to 15 months. This is a great example of the minerality of Gualtallary, a texture, a chalky mouthfeel that makes the wine tasty, long and serious, which is something very difficult to find at this price level and in this volume. Great work.

A 100% Malbec from Gualtallary aged in used barrels. Made in an elemental style that Zorzal has been working on for years, it begins with fresh plum notes and hints of violet and orange zest that go rather well together. Very pure in the mouth; tense and juicy, with a chalky feel and a lollipop tackiness that makes the wine stick to the mouth. Will grow in the bottle.
Winery Notes
This hand harvested, single vineyard wine, from Gualtallary is 100% Malbec and spends 12 months in French oak barrels. A large nose of blueberry, blackberry, vanilla, and smoky tobacco leads to a big and bold palate of fig newtons, dry leaves, dark chocolate, and powdered sugar. The finish lasts with big, smooth tannins and fruit galore.
