Substantial indeed, with ripe blueberry and cherry fruit, plus hints of rose petal and spice. The wine is impressively tannic, rich and dense in texture. A lovely success. This is arguably the top cuveé from the Hospices de Nuits (along with its Les Saint-Georges). Premier cru Didiers is a monopole of the Hospices, and Fagon is the old vines from this section.
