The 2016 Berliquet is deep garnet colored. It explodes with bombastic blackberry pie, plum preserves, and fruitcake scents, plus suggestions of Chinese five spice, dried roses, and mossy tree bark. The full-bodied palate is big, opulent, and generous, delivering ripe, plush tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long.
