The palate is super rich and packed with decadent dried fruits lending unctuousness and opulence to the very long, spicy finish. A hedonic style for those who favor full-throttle wines.

The 2016 Château de Rayne-Vigneau has been one of my favourite vintages of recent years. Quince, saffron, orange pith and traces of white chocolate develop on the nose with just a touch of petrol. The palate is medium-bodied with pure apricot, mango and orange pith notes, building confidently towards the intense finish. All set for a great Sauternes here. Tasted at the Rayne-Vigneau vertical at the property.
