Introducing Pre-Arrival Wine Gift Orders
Having trouble thinking of the perfect gift? Maybe something thoughtful, unique, and hard to find that expresses your appreciation?
Perhaps you’re already pondering gifting a pre-arrival item, but feel you’ve waited until the last minute?
Pre-arrival orders are shipped directly from negotiants in France and Europe. These rare gifts may take 4—8 months to arrive… but the anticipation will be worth it if the gift recipient knows what’s on its way.
That’s why we created our pre-arrival gifting program!
We’ll send the recipient a thorough email, including a personal note from you, and provide them with the details (minus the dollar amount you spent), and guide both of you through the Pre-Arrival process.
How it works
During checkout, look for the “This order is a gift” checkbox.
Selecting this will prompt you for a gift message and gift recipient’s email address. This gift message will be emailed to the recipient when the order is placed along with an explanation of our Pre-arrival program’s longer lead times and process.
Worried the recipient won’t be home when the gift arrives a few months from now? We’ve thought of that as well! Once the items reach our US fulfillment facility, the gift recipient will be notified as we prepare to ship the order at an appropriate date to minimize storage and handling. We take seasonal weather into consideration and will avoid shipping during extreme hot or cold conditions whenever possible. See our Shipping Info FAQ for more information.
Lastly, the recipient will receive a FedEx tracking number once it is in transit.
