Hints of musk and myrrh mix with other aromatic woods and ginger spice in the bouquet. Full-bodied and sweet on the attack, there is fruit of candied figs, Medjool dates, and golden raisins with warming nutmeg and clove through the long, persistent finish. Country United States

Of all the New World wine countries, perhaps the one which has demonstrated the most flair for producing high quality wines - using a combination of traditional and forward-thinking contemporary methods - has been the United States of America. For the past couple of centuries, the United States has set about transforming much of its suitable land into vast vineyards, capable of supporting a wide variety of world-class grape varietals which thrive on both the Atlantic and the Pacific coastlines. Of course, we immediately think of sun-drenched California in regards to American wines, with its enormous vineyards responsible for the New World's finest examples of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot based wines, but many other states have taken to viticulture in a big way, with impressive results. Oregon, Washington State and New York have all developed sophisticated and technologically advanced wine cultures of their own, and the output of U.S wineries is increasing each year as more and more people are converted to their produce.

Whisky Advocate

No age statement on the label, but aged for 8 1/2 years. Bottled at the same ABV as its entry proof into the barrel. Lush and mouth-coating. A pleasingly sweet bourbon, with caramel, nougat, and chewy toffee, mixed with ripe orchard fruit, golden raisin, and creamy vanilla. Soothing finish. A wonderful way to end a meal. (With a cigar, perhaps?) This is a beautiful bourbon and a great value given its quality, ABV, and price. - Fall 2016

Winery Notes

Jim Murray’s 2020 World Whisky of the Year. The Full Proof release of 1792 bourbon is a 62.5% abv whiskey that's been bottled without chill filtration. Big, bold and robust, this is delicious notes of vanilla, caramel and a hint of smoke. - Whisky Bible.
